JOUD INDUSTRIES, Domestic Appliances Company is a subsidiary of the Joud Company; a family-owned firm established by the late Mohammad Dib Joud in 1933. Joud Company businesses:

- Production of soft drinks, timber, steel and domestic appliances.

- Trading of foodstuff, detergents, timber and steel.

- Services in the media, training, logistics, ground and maritime transportation.

- Some of the international brands manufactured or distributed by Joud Company are Pepsi, 7UP, Proctor & Gamble, Bel Cheese, Hoover and Candy.
 

Joud Domestic Appliances (JDA) was established in 1994 and started with domestic refrigerators and freezers lines then it expanded to manufacturing cookers and other domestic appliances. Currently JDA is one of the leading manufacturers of white goods in Syria especially for its commitment to high quality standards and distinguished after-sale service.
 

In 2007, JDA proudly welcomed the VESTEL brand to its family; VESTEL is the world's third biggest manufacturer of flat panel LCD and PDP televisions, in addition to CRT televisions. Furthermore, VESTEL is a leading manufacturer of laptop computers and other appliances.
 

JDA was the first company in Syria to conform to the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer by making all its refrigerators and freezers environment-friendly and CFC-Free. Additionally JDA was one the pioneers in Syria to get the ISO-9001:2000 Quality Management System. Furthermore, all JDA products conform to the CE standards.
